Welcome to Paris, the City of Love and Lights!
Bonjour mes amis! I am so excited to share with you my experience of spending four perfect days in Paris. From its charming streets to its iconic landmarks, this city has captured my heart in every way. So, grab a croissant and a cup of coffee as I take you through my itinerary and share some tips for an unforgettable trip.
Day 1: Exploring the City of Love
My first day in Paris was all about embracing the romantic vibes of the city. I started my day with a stroll along the Seine River, admiring the stunning architecture and watching the boats go by. Next, I made my way to the Eiffel Tower, the symbol of Paris and one of the most iconic landmarks in the world. I highly recommend going up to the top for breathtaking views of the city. Don’t forget to take a romantic photo with the tower in the background.
Afterward, I headed to the charming neighborhood of Montmartre, known for its quaint streets and artists. I visited the Sacré-Cœur Basilica, a beautiful church with stunning views of the city. And of course, I couldn’t leave without getting a caricature drawing from one of the artists in the square.
To end my perfect day, I went on a sunset cruise along the Seine River. It was the most magical experience, seeing the city light up as the sun went down. I highly recommend booking a dinner cruise for a romantic evening.
Day 2: Cultural Immersion in Paris
Today, I immersed myself in the rich culture of Paris. I started my day with a visit to the Louvre Museum, home to some of the most famous artworks in the world, including the Mona Lisa. Pro tip: book your tickets in advance to avoid long queues.
Next, I headed to the Notre-Dame Cathedral, a stunning gothic masterpiece. Unfortunately, it is currently closed for reconstruction after the fire, but you can still admire its beauty from the outside.
In the afternoon, I visited the Latin Quarter, a vibrant neighborhood known for its lively atmosphere and intellectual history. I strolled through the streets, stopping at quaint cafes and bookstores. I also visited the Panthéon, a neoclassical building that serves as a mausoleum for famous French citizens.
To end the day, I attended a cabaret show at the Moulin Rouge. It was a spectacular performance that left me in awe. I highly recommend booking tickets in advance as it tends to sell out quickly.
Day 3: Day Trip to Versailles
On my third day, I took a day trip to the Palace of Versailles, located just outside of Paris. This magnificent palace was the residence of the French royal family and is a must-visit for anyone coming to Paris. I spent the whole day exploring the palace, gardens, and Marie-Antoinette’s estate. Pro tip: arrive early to avoid long queues and rent a golf cart to explore the vast gardens.
After returning to Paris, I headed to the Champs-Élysées, one of the most famous streets in the world. I did some shopping and indulged in some delicious French pastries at Ladurée. I also visited the Arc de Triomphe, a stunning monument that offers panoramic views of the city.
Day 4: Off the Beaten Path
For my last day in Paris, I wanted to experience the city like a local. I started my day with a visit to the Canal Saint-Martin, a picturesque waterway lined with trendy cafes and boutiques. I then headed to the Marais neighborhood, known for its diverse culture and shopping scene. I also visited the historic Place des Vosges, the oldest planned square in Paris.
In the evening, I went to the Eiffel Tower again, but this time for a picnic at the Champ de Mars park. It was the perfect way to end my trip, admiring the twinkling lights of the tower while enjoying some French wine and cheese.
