The Benefits of cycling

There are many benefits to cycling, both for the individual and for the environment. Cycling is a great way to get exercise, fresh air, and spend time outdoors. It is also a sustainable form of transportation that doesn’t produce any emissions. Cycling is a fun activity that can be enjoyed by people of all ages and abilities.

Cycling on America’s Scenic Routes

America is full of beautiful scenery and cycling is a great way to see it. There are plenty of routes to choose from, whether you’re an experienced cyclist or just getting started. Cycling is good for your health and the environment. It’s also a lot of fun!

If you’re planning a cycling trip, here are some things to keep in mind:

-Choose a route that suits your level of experience. There are many easy trails suitable for beginners, as well as more challenging routes for experienced cyclists.

-Be sure to pack all the necessary gear, including a helmet, water, and snacks.

-Plan your route and give yourself plenty of time to complete it. This will help you avoid getting lost or cycle for too long.

-Take breaks often to rest and enjoy the scenery.

The Pacific Coast Highway, California

The Pacific Coast Highway is one of the most scenic routes in America. The route runs along the California coast, offering stunning views of the ocean. It is about 650 miles long and it is mostly flat, making it suitable for beginner and experienced cyclists alike. However, there are some hills to contend with, so be sure to pack plenty of water and snacks. There are many great places to stop and explore along the way. Some of the highlights include Big Sur, Muir Woods, and Carmel-by-the-Sea.

Big Sur

Big Sur is a beautiful stretch of coastline in central California. Here you will find dramatic cliffs, crashing waves, and scenic views. There are many great hiking trails to explore, as well as beaches where you can relax and take in the scenery. My favourite spot in Big Sur is Pfeiffer Beach. This beach is known for its colourful rocks and stunning views and is also a great place to surf and bodyboard.

There are many great places to stay in Big Sur. Camping is a popular option, as there are plenty of scenic campsites along the coast. However, there are also many hotels and lodges if you prefer something more comfortable. I would recommend staying at Ventana Big Sur, an eco-friendly resort with stunning views of the ocean.

Muir Woods

Muir Woods is a forest located north of San Francisco. It is home to some of the tallest trees in the world and it is a popular spot for hiking and picnicking. Whilst visiting this area, don’t forget to try some of the popular food items which include huckleberry pie, cioppino (a seafood stew), and sourdough bread.

Carmel-by-the-Sea

Carmel-by-the-Sea is a small town located on the Monterey Peninsula. It is known for its quaint shops, art galleries, and beautiful coastline. You can explore the town on foot or by cycling. There are many great places to stop and grab a bite to eat, as well as plenty of hotels and bed & breakfasts if you’re looking for somewhere to stay.

The coolest art gallery in Carmel-by-the-Sea is the Carmel Art Association. This gallery features local and regional artists, as well as global artists. The gallery has a wide variety of artwork, including paintings, sculptures, photography, and more. There is also a cafe on-site, making it the perfect place to relax after a long cycle.
